Rupee steady at 48.57 a dollar in early trade 25 Jun 2009, 0952 hrs IST, PTI MUMBAI: The Indian rupee on Thursday remained steady at 48.57/58 against the US currency in early trade on weakening of dollar in the overseas market. Taiwan legalizes prostitution 25 Jun 2009, 0632 hrs IST, TNN AIPEI: Taiwan began a process of legalising prostitution on Wednesday making the island the latest place in the world to decriminalise the world’s oldest profession. Oil below 69 dollars in Asia as dollar strengthens 25 Jun 2009, 0902 hrs IST, AFP SINGAPORE: Oil prices fell in Asian trade on Thursday on a stronger US dollar after the US Federal Reserve reaffirmed its policy of keeping interest rates at near zero.
