I am not sure how true to a possible life person this character has been portrayed. But if its this close I must really admire the character beautifully done by Daniel Day lewis.
Brilliant piece of direction.
The child artist has done exceptionally well too. The nice mix of ambition and religion and the final scenes of the move are too realistic and leave a mark.
Great work. My Oscar bet is on you Danny!!

Daniel Day-Lewis - too good!
The part when Daniel has a go at Eli Sunday (Paul Dano), thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done. In the end (I am a false prophet, God is a superstition) - might be a bit over-the-top, but I loved it!
My favourite quote from the movie:
"
There are times when I look at people and I see nothing worth liking. I want to earn enough money that I can get away from everyone.
I can relate. Not that I like feeling that way - but hell, I can't help the way I feel. [/color]
