Good morning everyone.....
Wat a relief.....? No dust over the weekend and yesterday. Did you all make the max, out of, the break in the dusty weather? Where did you'll go? Beach? Garden? Shopping?

I dont believe everyone could have the same experience but Just enjoyed reading this....
I've just returned from kerala and i would advise without hesitation to seriously consider cancelling, accepting the financial loss and rebooking elsewhere. I know this going to make me sound like some kind of moaning minny but it was the longest 14 days of my life. The ONLY thing worth considering to do is spending 4 days at thekkady at the peryar wildlife reserve and booking on to one of the 3 day extended camping treks (complete with armed guide) deep into the reserve. Having said that, the road down from munnar to cochin is retina orgasmingly beautiful and a photographers dream but beware.. youre gonna need to load up on anti car sickness pills and (freely available at every chemist) valium. Reason being that you will have a driver that that will take the approximatetly 400 hairpin bends at a speed that would scare the leathers off Lewis Hamilton in a car (ambassador) that has the suspension characteristics of a shot put rolling over cobbles and a horn that is seemingly connected to the accellerator, clutch, brake peddle and quite possibly the drivers cardiac pacemaker. Do not watch the last five minutes of 'the italian job' before embarking on this drive. Take lots of things to amuse yourself with,mp3, scrabble, playing cards, 'war and peace' as everything outside the resorts seems to close down after dusk (6:30 pm) and if you get suckered into watching a Kathakalli event the whole thing can be alleviated by taking the aforementioned valium or alternatively just stay in your room paint your genitals lurid colours and prance around like a tit to the recorded sounds of a fire in a pet shop, At least your mates will get to have a laugh. Highlight of Kotchin - Watching the sun going down behind the chinese fishing nets.. it provided the perfectly lit backdrop to the 3 cats feasting on a washed up dead dogs head. I could go on and on and on but believe me - i am an experienced traveller. Gods own Country... erm. Ps, Despite supposedly having the highest literacy rate in india you will come across menus offering such delicacies as " chinese autopsy", do not panic. It is off course chopsuey and quite tasty it is too. However, one morning I ordered tea and toasted beard (bread, obviously) and there were more hairs on that one of the blokes from ZZ TOPS chin.
